If you go to the Control Panel and open the Mail application, are there any profiles defined in the Show Profiles button? If so, delete them. Create a profile for your verizon email and set that one as your default (it will be if it is the
only profile defined)Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Hi,
For this issue, I suggest you follow Tim’s suggestion to configure the profile in Outlook 2010 correctly.
Here is a related article for you:

Have my own web site with Outlook 2010 email was able to use my own server for pop/smtp while with Comcast and after switching over to
Verizon fios this past week, cannot send through my own web/mail server. Tried the same port I used through Comcast (995), tried Verizon
tech recommended port 587 and also "default" settings. The ONLY UGLY way to send was by using my verizon login to Verizon and setting
"Reply To" for now. Verizon either keeps their techs purposely ignorant or their IT doesn't have a clue or don't care about their paying
customers. As a previous administrator of DNS/mail/web servers, it appears Verizon is incapable of properly managing their servers.
